Southern Pines Golf Course
290 Country Club Cir
Southern Pines, NC 28387-6504, United States

910.692.6551
This old-school course was designed by Donald Ross and opened with nine holes in 1906; Ross' nine opened here in 1912. In fact, there was an additional 9-hole course designed by Ross, although that course was actually abandoned, and a fourth nine designed by Ross was never constructed, due to the Great Depression.

The morning rates here range from $67 (June-August) to $117 (March-May), although sliding twilight rates are available.

3 stars.
Not a bad layout, but not memorable. Lacking on conditioning in areas.
Pretty friendly.

Fantastic course. I play it every time I come to Pinehurst. Price is right and I think it is one of the best courses I have ever Played.

A Donald Ross hidden gem. Owned by the Southern Pines Elks, overseen by Avestra these guys have put some time and effort and some money into this course and have made it like a brand new course. It has wide open fiarways, to elevation changes to medium size greens. The greens are good and always in great shape. Worth the time to play this if you are in the Sandhills area
