Charles M. "Mark" Mahannah did the original course design when it opened on former farmland in October of 1968; Michael Gleason oversaw a major course redesign in 2005.

The club does host company, civic, and charity golf events. Otherwise, visitors are permitted only as the guest of a member; the guest rate is $55 on weekdays and $69 on weekends.

The layout is just too tricked up. They were also a little crazy with pin positions.

The course is a great course! The front is short but requires shot making to be able to score. The back is extremely long and challenges all skill levels. The greens are the best aspect of the course with great speeds and a number of difficult putts if you find your approach in the wrong spot.
