Played Firecliff course. Challenging layout that allows lots of risk/reward opportunities. Pins were tucked in lots of corners of greens. Greens rolled true but were fairly slow by desert standards. Fairways and tee boxes were in good shape considering the heat and the drought, but a fair number of dry spots. Bunkers here, like lots of places in soCal, could use some sand. Too many bunkers around greens to have clubs bounce off dirt under thin veil of sand. Considering number of people on course, played pretty quickly. Nice practice facility.

Played firecliff and was very impressed. The lay out is thoughtful, holes are challenging yet fun, maintenance is spot on and service was great. Any trip to the area would be incomplete without coming here.

course in great shape, greens rolled very true. Great public course but also brings in the slow players. Played with two female life partners go figure and the one played from the mens tees and couldnt hit any greens in regulation???

Play the two sister Willows courses in Palm Desert each year I vacation there. Superb and well maintained. Good value compared to other area courses. Very busy operation and many tournaments so reserve early.

If you like deep fairway bunkers, then Desert Willow is the place to go. Other than that the course is easily one of the best in Palm Desert. Patio was fabulous.
