Bubba says he needs to "improve as a man"
By Torleif Sorenson on 4/7/15
Yesterday, we told you about some of the results of an eye-opening ESPN poll of 103 professional golfers. In that survey, ESPN posed this question:

__________ is in a fight in the parking lot. You're not helping him.
Bubba Watson "won" that poll with 23 responses; followed by Patrick Reed, Rory Sabbatini, and Robert Allenby.

Earlier today, Golf Channel asked Watson about that poll result. His response:

"I take it as I need to improve as a man. I need to get better. And I think over my career, since my rookie season to now, I've gotten better. But obviously there's more room for me to improve as a man.

"I'm glad that people call me out when they do; that's the only way I can get better. If I don't know about it, then I can't improve."
In addition to comments below, we have set up this poll for you to answer the same question about five PGA Tour players.

A tip of the hat to Bubba for a very thoughtful response. Whether he follows that path remains to be seen but that was a mature response to a tough situation.

I would think this could be a long process for Bubba, given that he has a stressful, high-profile career. Part of the vote may have been because of his infamous on-course treatment of his caddie.
